Terms of Service
Last updated 16 October 2026
These are the rules for using hostokay. We have kept them short and in plain words. By creating an account or using the service you agree to them.
1. What hostokay is
hostokay is a web application that helps short-term rental hosts and the people who work with them keep track of bookings and tasks. It reads booking calendars you connect, creates tasks from rules you set, and shows them to the people on your team.
hostokay is a helper, not a replacement for your own judgement. You remain responsible for your properties, your guests, your bookings and the work that gets done.
2. Your account
You sign in with a Google account. You are responsible for keeping that account secure and for everything done through hostokay while signed in with it. You must be at least 18 years old and allowed to enter into this agreement.
You may invite other people to your team. You are responsible for who you invite and for what they can see once they join. Anyone you invite is bound by these terms too.
3. Your content and your connections
Everything you put into hostokay stays yours: your properties, tasks, rules, team and the booking details read from your calendars or booking system. You give us permission to store and process it only so that the service works for you and your team.
When you connect a calendar link or a booking system, you confirm that you are allowed to share that data with us and with your team. Keys you paste for a booking system are stored encrypted and used only to read bookings on your behalf.
Do not use hostokay for anything illegal, to harm others, or to store content you have no right to store.
4. The service is provided as is
hostokay is provided “as is” and “as available”, without any warranty of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not promise that the service will be uninterrupted, error free, secure, or that it will meet your needs. We do not promise that bookings will always be read correctly or on time, that tasks will always be created, or that any data shown is complete or accurate. Calendars and booking systems belong to other companies and can change or fail without notice.
You use hostokay at your own risk. Always check important things, such as a guest's arrival or a cleaning, against the original booking source.
5. We are not liable for what happens
To the fullest extent allowed by law, hostokay and the people behind it will not be liable for any loss or damage that comes from using, or not being able to use, the service. This includes, for example, a missed cleaning, a guest arriving to an unprepared property, a lost booking, a bad review, lost income or profit, lost data, or any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, even if we were told they might happen.
If, despite the above, we are found liable for something, our total liability to you for all claims together is limited to the amount you paid us for the service in the twelve months before the claim, or 50 euros if you paid nothing.
Some places do not allow certain limits on warranties or liability. Where that is the case, these limits apply as far as the law allows.
6. Paying for hostokay
hostokay is currently free while we get started. If we introduce a paid plan, we will say clearly what it costs before you are charged, and you will be able to cancel at any time. Fees are not refundable unless the law says otherwise.
7. Ending things
You can stop using hostokay and delete your account whenever you like by emailing us. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts the service or other people at risk. We may also change or stop the service; if we stop it, we will try to give you notice and a way to get your data out.
8. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top tells you when they last changed. If a change matters, we will let you know in the app or by email. Continuing to use hostokay after a change means you accept it.
9. The legal bits
These terms are governed by the laws of Greece, and any dispute will be handled by the courts of Greece, unless the law of the country you live in gives you stronger rights. If part of these terms turns out to be unenforceable, the rest still applies.
